Its not quite the middle of December and we’ve already had our first snow here in VA! It was just a dusting and barely covered the grass but it still counts. Have you finished your Christmas shopping yet or have you even started?? Luckily, I don’t have many people to buy for so it doesn’t take me long. And most of my shopping is done online (thank you, Amazon!).

Speaking of shopping, I have some fun new things going on in my TPT store for the holiday season! A Christmas Write the Room activity (these are so fun!), a Penguin Piano Party, and my first Sunday school activity about the nativity!
Write the Room activities are always a lot of fun for teaches and students and I use them a lot. It gives me a chance to individually assess some of the students. It gives the students a chance to practice drawing their music notes neatly and identify certain rhythms. It also gives them a chance to freely wander around the room and chat with friends while they work. Its a busy time of year and the kids at my school are extra busy preparing for Christmas parades and program practice and several performances so its a nice break in the school day for them. It also gives me a chance to breathe, maybe prepare the next activity or pull out instruments if I didn’t get a chance before class started. And this one is especially fun because its Christmas and I’m proud to say I drew all the clipart myself!

Penguin Piano Party is a fun little piano game where students can practice knowing the letters on the piano keys and on the staff, while practicing rhythms in different time signatures. And it can be adapted for almost any level of piano student from very beginner to intermediate. If you happen to have a Christmas recital or piano party this would be a great game to bring out for the group. And the penguins are cute!

Jesus Is Born! is my Sunday school nativity activity (say that five times fast!) so I’m really excited about this one. It’s a trivia board game to help students review the story of the nativity while helping the wise men find their way to see Mary, Joseph, and the Baby Jesus.

I’m working on some exciting new things for 2024, like more Sunday school resources, more music games, and more resources specifically geared towards homeschool parents! And you’ll have opportunities to sign up for my newsletter and get some freebie products in the process!
