Love is in the Air!

And so are the sales!!

We made it to February! Some people feel like January is the longest month of the year and sometimes it really does feel that way…after all the holidays, right in the middle of winter with short days=less sunlight, and lots of cold and snow and dreary weather, etc. Luckily, it also butts up to the shortest month of the year! And while February is still in the throes of winter, I feel like it gives us a little light at the end of the winter tunnel to let us know that spring will come again.

And even though the groundhog is predicting six more weeks of winter, February is warming up with thoughts of love!! And to celebrate TPT is having an early February sale!

There’s a sale a-comin’!

Tomorrow, Tuesday February 4 and Wednesday February 5, all of TPT, including my entire store will be 20% off, and you can earn and extra 5% off when using the special code FEBSALE25 at the check out!

I also have a $10 TPT gift card to give away. Now I’m hoping to give it to a new subscriber to my email list but also if you already subscribe to my email list, your name will automatically be entered in the drawing to win it! The drawing ends 11:59pm tonight, all the names that sign up for my email list as well as all my current subscribers will be entered and a random drawing will take place first thing tomorrow morning. The winner will be announced on my social media pages (Facebook, instagram) and by email!!

Now what can you look forward to in my TPT sale? Lots of Valentine’s Day themed music & Bible activities! Here are a few of my newest and current resources available…

Valentine’s Day

HeartBeat Rhythm Matching and HeartBeat Solfege Matching games! In HeartBeat Rhythm Matching, students can match up a note value/type with the note name (such as quarter note) or note counting syllable (such as TA) with the number of beats. They can make it a simple matching activity to see who matches them all correctly the fastest or play a memory matching game by laying them all out face down on a table and guessing where the matches are. OR take it a step further and turn it into a Go-Fish style game!

In HeartBeat Solfege Matching, students are making pairs using solfege pattern syllable (So or Mi, etc) and matching it to a pattern on the music staff. After students play the matching game, they can use some of the cards to compose their own patterns!

Valentine’s Roll & Cover! These type games have been popular in my store lately! And they are low-prep and super simple, and great for centers!! Students roll the dice and cover the picture that matches what they roll according to the “dice key” on the page. The various pages cover note values, rhythms, music symbols, solfege, notes on the staff, and there is even a piano version including finding notes on the piano keys (Valentine’s PIANO Roll)!!

If you’re looking to work with your students on reading treble clef notes on the staff, check out I Love Music Write the Room Pitch and Mailbox Match!

You know I love “write the room” activities and I Love Music is full of cute hearts and notes on the treble staff! There are cards with 1 note on the staff, 2 notes, 3 notes, and 4 or more notes on the staff and the students write the letters.

In Mailbox Match, students have a mailbox with 3 or more notes where they have to figure out what the letters are and spell a word. Then match the mailbox to an envelope that spells out that same word.

If you’re looking for a Bible game, check out Love One Another, a game that teaches students what the Bible says about being loving and kind. It comes complete with a board game, question cards, Scripture memory cards, and a few worksheets all to help teach and reinforce what the Bible says about being loving and kind to our friends, family, neighbors, enemies, and strangers! And this one is not just for Valentine’s Day but can be used all year long!!

Keep practicing and share the love of music!!
