Preparing Music Resources for TPT and the Classroom

As we approach July, the excitement of gearing up for another school year is in the air! For educators like me, this means not only getting ready for the classroom but also preparing fresh and engaging music resources for my Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) store.

My school actually goes year-round so we only get 3 weeks off for summer break then its back to business! This past week has been super busy updating a few things in my TPT store (there’s going to be a new look to my storefront releasing July 1st!), creating some new back-to-school (BTS) music resources to be ready to launch for July (BTS season!), and prepping for a long-overdue vacation next week!! Then after vacation I will be prepping lesson plans for the return to teaching in my classroom starting July 8th!!

Balancing the preparation of my TPT store with classroom setup requires careful planning and organization. However, the satisfaction of knowing that my resources will help fellow music educators enhance their teaching experience is incredibly rewarding.

In my TPT store, I offer resources for music educators of all kinds. Whether you are an experienced music teacher looking for fresh ideas, a new music teacher wanting to add to your lesson- planning catalog, or even a non-music teacher who is occasionally asked to cover a music class here or there, or a homeschool parent wanting to enrich your child’s education with the joy of music, I have lots of fun games and activities just waiting for you. To get started check out this rhythm FREEBIE!!

Most of my current resources include “teacher cheat sheets” designed to help any teacher bring these resources to life for their students, even if they have never taught that particular topic before! In addition to music class resources, my store also offers several piano lesson and Bible class resources as well! Many of my rhythm activities and music theory worksheets can be applied to any private music lesson and I have personally used several of my own Bible games with my own 5th/6th grade Sunday school class and we have had a blast with them!

As I finalize these resources, I’m also busy setting up my own classroom to create an inspiring learning environment for my students, and this coming school year I will be able to use my own (and my first!) bulletin board set with a cute picnic theme! It’s a busy but exciting time, filled with anticipation for the new school year ahead.

Whether you’re a music teacher preparing for classes or a homeschooling parent seeking engaging music educational materials, I invite you to explore my TPT store. Together, let’s make this upcoming school year a harmonious and successful journey in music education!
