Woohoo!
I mentioned in my last post that my school goes year-round. We end mid-June, get 3 weeks off, then we’re back to it right after the 4th of July holiday. In some ways it’s sad that we don’t get a bigger break but it has its advantages too.
Cons
The break is short. I’m not gonna lie. Usually too short. Barely enough time to recover and recharge. As a TPT-teacherprenuer it doesn’t give me as much time to recoup before I’m already planning and creating back-to-school products and thinking about back-to-school promotions. Plus we are already back to school for almost a month before the “Back-to-School” sales hit. It also puts us in a different schedule than everybody else which feels a bit odd.

Pros
But it does put me ahead of TPT game when thinking about Back-to-School products because I’m already in it and using BTS products well before everyone else is even thinking about them. We get the same amount of time off, it’s just spread out throughout the school year instead of crammed only in the summer. Which is especially nice for when we do our fall camping trip. And when we head back to school, we don’t have to waste the first 2 months of school in review because we just saw them 3 weeks ago!

Rest and renew
However short your summer break is, it is super important to take some time to relax. Take some time away from the screens and get outside. Read a book. Take a vacation. Lay by the pool or at the beach. Take a walk. Don’t think about school or work. Don’t think about the classroom or planning. Maybe do a little shopping. (Even a little shopping on TPT would be okay!)

I will be busy during my summer break. But I am also looking forward to taking a week off and getting away where no one can bother me!
