Ice Cream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream!

Who doesn’t like ice cream?! Especially as the weather gets warmer and summer break is around the corner. It’s like going on vacation without actually going anywhere!

Last week’s music class was all about ice cream. And a little pie too.

First, we did some matching and sang through some ice cream solfege patterns using an activity by Becca’s Music Room. Then we used my ice cream rhythm cards to do some rhythm composing. And we played ice cream 4 Corners with larger ice cream posters with some delicious rhythm flavor!

How about some pie a la mode? We used Pick a Piece of Pie and pieced some 4 beat rhythms together in a pie plate to remember how many beats each note type gets and how they all fit together to form a 4-beat measure!

Also check out Ice Cream Rhythm Shop Music Math Activity where kids can practice some basic addition and subtraction math skills while also learning how many beats each note gets! And both Ice Cream Rhythm Shop products are now bundled together for your convenience!

What’s your favorite ice cream flavor??
