I don’t know about you but 2023 was a crazy year for me! So I am happy to be turning the page on my calendar. I don’t know if 2024 is going to be any better but I’m determined to strap on my work boots and put my best foot forward to meet whatever comes my way head on.
One of the things that 2023 caused me to do was think about a slight career change. I live in an expensive area and with rising costs of EVERYTHING, just teaching private lessons as a side gig does not always pay the bills. So, while I’m not done teaching yet, I’m on the hunt to see what else my teacher skills can do in other fields. Part of that is creating resources for other teachers and selling them on my TPT (Teachers Pay Teachers) store.
To this date, I have 24 products in my store that encompass song activities for general music class, seasonal and non-seasonal rhythm resources as well as recorder activities and music games, piano games for private lessons, and Sunday school activities to supplement Sunday school lessons and homeschool lessons from the Bible.
My Jesus Is Born resource was a big seller for December! This month I will be putting out another Sunday school resource called The Story of Creation, with lesson materials, coloring pages, and a game suited for 2nd-5th grades.
Also this month, I am currently working on another non-seasonal recorder matching game, and getting ready for a few Valentines Day and Groundhog Day music activities specifically for recorder and staff note reading. I’m so excited to share these new products with you so stay tuned to be the first to check them out!
