Fall Resources for Teachers

I’ve been working hard to keep adding new resources to my Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) store. I’ve recently added several fall/Halloween activities for rhythm, recorder, and piano!

Great Big House is a fun song where your students can learn and practice steady beat, rhythms, learn about slurs and ties, and sing solfege of the song. There are rhythm parts that students can perform using body percussion or instruments and each part can be performed separately or divide your class into 4 groups and each group performa a different pattern all at the same time!

Piano Pumpkin Palooza is a great fall game fore your piano students! It will help reinforce rhythm in several different time signatures and reinforce piano keys names at the same time.

Steal the Pumpkin is a rhythm relay game! Divide your class into 2 teams and print 2 sets of the rhythm cards you want to use. Scatter each set of cards on a table for each team. Play or clap a rhythm from the list and the first person from each team races to find the correct rhythm first. The kids love the competition!

Fall Recorder Fun is a fun activity for centers or small groups to practice their recorder playing and simple rhythms. They get to choose which letters to match with which rhythms so they are composing at the same time! There is even a composing worksheet to go along with the activity to record their beautiful creations!

Go to my store to check these out (and more!) to use with your students this fall! Stay tuned for a Thanksgiving/Turkey themed resource for recorder, piano, and flute!
