For the past couple months I have been teasing you with news of a big announcement. It took me a little longer to pull things together than I had anticipated but now I can finally share the news.
I just opened a teacher store!!
Teachers Pay Teachers is basically the Etsy of teachers. Its a website for teachers to sell resources they have created to other teachers for them to use in their classrooms. I have actually been creating a lot of my own resources (room decor items, posters, flashcards, games, worksheets, etc.) for many years and I finally decided it was time I got some compensation for them!

My husband and I have been working very hard (almost nonstop) for the last month and a half putting together a handful of resources and fine-tuning them to make them look more professional and polished to get them ready to sell. As I said, it took a little longer than planned because it was a lot more involved than we had anticipated. So. many. tiny. tedious. details to think about. But now that we have completed this first batch of resources and they are now posted on the site, we have some systems in place ready for the next batch. So now the process should move along a little faster from here on out.

Anywho…this may not sound like a big deal and if you are a student, you may even wonder why should you care? Well, hopefully other teachers will be able to use my resources for their students, which is kinda cool. But also, I would not create and sell something to other teachers that I would not use with my own students (both classroom and private lessons). So what that means it I’m exercising my creative brain in a little different way for my students as well!
While right now all the resources I have available are for music classroom teachers, I will also be creating resources for private lesson teachers as well. And I will be testing out those piano and singing resources on my own students!
In addition to music resources, I will also be creating items for church and Sunday school classes. Many of you know I also help teach a 5th & 6th grade Sunday school class and I play piano for children’s church worship time and I often found a lack of resources for this area of ministry and education. So I make my own! And now I’m going to be making those items available to other Sunday school teachers like me.

There are still a few things in the works for my store and I will be adding more items very soon. But if you have a moment, please go check out my store and follow me. And tell all your other teacher friends, I’d greatly appreciate it!
