A New Year

Here we are again, starting a new year. New hopes, new aspirations, new goals (or renewing old ones). The last few months have been super busy (as you can probably tell from my lack of posts). If you’ve been following me for a while now, you know I teach lessons online. In recent months I started adding group classes and more group classes. Hence, why there haven’t been any blog posts since August!

The group classes keep me busy for sure, in addition to my private lessons, my music classes I teach at my church school one day a week, plus being a wife and homemaker. But I have enjoyed teaching the group classes, as it has given me a way to reach more students and make a little extra income to a business that is always fluctuating.

Some of the group classes I have been teaching are:

Beginner Rhythm Practice Intermediate Rhythm Practice 5 Finger Scales & Chords Piano Music Games. Ear Training for Singers Rhythm 4 Kids

Over the holidays, I taught a bunch of holiday themed classes including Halloween Sing Along, Halloween Piano 4 kids, Thanksgiving Piano 4 Kids, Thanksgiving Worship Sing Along, Christmas Worship Sing Along, Christmas Carol Sing Along, Christmas Piano for Beginners, Christmas Piano 4 Kids, and Christmas Classics for Flute.

This month I am introducing more classes in all of my subjects. I have more Piano 4 Kids aimed at 7-12 years olds and even a Piano 4 YOUNG Kids aimed at 4-7 year olds. There are adult piano classes like Dozen a Day, where we practice finger exercises. I have more flute classes like Beginner Flute 101 and 40 Little Pieces for flute. I added an Easy Classical Singing class and am trying out a Singing 4 Kids class. I also have several theory classes, some are weekly, like Fundamentals of Theory and others are just scheduled randomly where I have an opening, like Music Staff Wars where we learn about reading the notes on the staff or Dynamic Piano where we learn all about dynamics and playing loud and soft. I even have a class where we learn about composing!

Lots of fun and lots of variety and more new classes on the way! The key to all this chaos is to stay organized. And every once in while stop and take a breath. Which is usually when I get to work on all my social media upkeep, lol!!
